You are What you EAT!

Dear Friends, I came across this video and I wanted to share it with you because a lot of times what we put in our body, we really have no idea. There is a reason for my vegetarian. I refuse to eat this type of violence and live with the karma. As a public figure, I am standing up against this cruelty.

If we are what we eat, and we are eating violence and cruelty. Then we will become violence and cruelty. To ourselves and to each other. That is not the formula for a more peaceful world where this is only abundance and happiness.

If you are a dog or cat or any pet owner and still succumb to this craze, then the only word for that is: hypocrisy.

Adventures of "CreamPuff and Eskimo:" A New Online Series by Nadia and the Greenways!

Welcome to the Adventures of "CreamPuff and Eskimo!"
This is an exclusive new internet series of the adventures of Creampuff (played by Nadia Hatta) and Eskimo (played by Kelly Greenway). In the west coast of Canada, we find a random lost Eskimo who befriends a sugar-addicted CreamPuff who is always in Pink. Follow these hungry trekkers from the mountains of Whistler to the downtown hotspots of Vancouver! Get a good laugh and enjoy the view.

Join this crazy pair on their mountain trek up to the beautiful slopes of Blackcomb as they barely make it in the great outdoors after finding out they didn't pack any food after hours of climbing. Will beautiful yoga moves on rocks against the clear blue sky help them survive?

"MAYA" the Film Shoot-A Film By Nadia Hatta

So--- I finally got off my lazy bum and made my writing into a film reality, with the help from my inspiring Director of Photography (DP) and best friend Brian Goltz. We dedicated this film to ourselves with our joint efforts; his editing/filming and my story, directing, producing and not to mention starring. I have to say the making of Maya was probably a Cannes winner. I think we definitely beat Wang Kar Wai in Improvisational Filmmaking and redefined Guerilla style. Absolutely dynamic, colorful and exciting. If I had to write a press release and use few words I would write:
"Love Motel: DP and Director hide in cab in order to bend the rules of maximum three people per room." There probably is a more subversive line but I think i will keep my blog rated PG13. ;)
The definition of Maya in Sanskrit is Illusion and this story speaks of how we live in a world of illusion, half asleep as we walk the humdrum of everyday life. And as we drift further away from our connection to our Divine Selves, we walk deeper into Maya, and spiraling into complete self destructive hedonism. The story has many layers, playing upon the yin and yang of our souls, duality of humanity and the painful loneliness that we suffer because of separation.
For the record, this was written at a transitional moment in my life between my spiritual and human identity. The crossing over was jagged and confusing, as the picture in "Maya" paints.

"Fell In Love With A Girl" Film Shoot-starring Nadia Hatta

I am currently in Vancouver, British Columbia finishing up my first RED CAMERA film ever. I get to play lead girl in "Fell In Love With A Girl," directed by Tin Pak Lau, playing the object of the guy's obsession. This story is basically about our obsessions with things we can not have but just won't stop obsessing even when someone says "no." It has been an amazing shoot, we shot around Richmond in residential area and then in Steveson, by the lake. The weather was gorgeous, as was the sunshine and then sunset. The crew and cast were absolutely amazing and professional. All I can say is that the director of photography was so professional and amazing and even got "commercial shots" of me. I'm so grateful I finally go to do some real acting! I love Vancouver. I love working here and I love filmmaking!!!!!!! Keep an eye out for the film coming online!!!! Love, Nadia
